Join Us at the 2026 Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure in Toledo

Great Lakes Home Remodeling is honored to invite you to the 2026 Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure, taking place in downtown Toledo. As an official sponsor, we are proud to stand alongside our community in support of breast cancer survivors, those currently in the fight, and the families who walk beside them. This year marks Northwest Ohio's 33rd annual Race.

Event Details & Schedule

The 2026 Komen Northwest Ohio Race for the Cure will take place on Sunday, September 27th 2026 at Hensville Park on N. St. Clair Street in downtown Toledo.

• 7:00 a.m. Event site opens, including Hope Village, the "We Remember" tent, and the Sponsor Expo
• 8:15 a.m. Survivor Parade begins at Hope Village
• 9:00 a.m. Opening Ceremony at the Main Stage, with survivors walking the Pathway of Hope
• 9:30 a.m. Race begins, with the 1 mile route to immediately follow

Strollers and dogs (on leashes) are welcome, making this an event for the entire family. Parking is available at various garages and lots downtown, so plan to arrive early.

Be sure to stop by the Great Lakes Home Remodeling sponsor booth at Hensville Park. Our team will be there to cheer participants on and share resources about how we support our local communities.

Race Routes & Map

The race starts at the intersection of Monroe and Summit and finishes at Washington and St. Clair. Two routes are available:

• 5K Run/Walk (approximately 3.1 miles)
• 1 Mile Family Fun Walk

All 5K participants receive a race bib with a timing chip at no additional cost, and results are posted after the race at davesrunning.com. Bibs for the 1 mile walk are not timed.

Registration & Packet Pick-Up

Registration is $45 for adults and $35 for youth under 18, with virtual options available at the same rates. Every registered participant receives an event T-shirt, and survivors and those living with metastatic breast cancer receive shirts in special colors.

Anyone who missed the shirt mailing window can pick up their packet on Saturday, September 26th from 12:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. at the Mud Hens Stadium 1st Base Gate. In-person registration is also available that day.

Why This Event Matters

Breast cancer affects 1 in 8 women and 1 in 1,000 men during their lifetime. Over the past 30 years, Komen's research investment has played a role in 29 breast cancer-fighting drugs approved by the FDA. Events like the Race for the Cure fund the research, community health programs, and advocacy work behind those numbers. This year's Northwest Ohio event has a fundraising goal of $288,000.
